Thalith Nasir fell in love with photography back in 2008, when he got his hands on a beat-up DSLR that had already passed through two owners. He never went to art school, but he picked up what he could in a few Fine Arts classes at Indiana University, then later at New York's International Center for Photography.

His camera gravitates toward people and their stories. In his standout project "Everyday Aliens," he turns his lens on Bangladeshi immigrants making their way in America, capturing quiet moments that speak volumes about belonging and displacement. When he's not working on documentary projects, you might find him shooting on the streets, at music venues, or while traveling—always with an eye for the human element that ties it all together.

He can occasionally be convinced to shoot weddings, baby showers, maternity shoots and bar mitzvahs.
